通史の分量を保つため、各王の個別伝記や王朝戦争の細部は採用せず、制度転換に関係する節目に絞った。現代王政のニュースは、家族ゴシップではなく制度維持、財政、世論、working royalsの稼働に関係するものだけ採用した。
